Turkish Premier sends felicitations to Prime

YANGON, 18 Jan— The following is a message of felicitations from
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, to
Lt-Gen Soe Win, Prime Minister of the Union of Myanmar, on the
occasion of the 57th Anniversary Independence Day of the Union of
Myanmar.
On the occasion of the National Day of the Union of Myanmar, I

YANGON, 18 Jan — Minister for Industry-1 U Aung Thaung met
Managing Director Mr Kicheol Kim of M/S ACE Industry Inc of Korea
and party at his office this morning.
Also present were Deputy Minister Brig-Gen Thein Tun and

Mayor meets Ambassador of Singapore
YANGON, 18 Jan — Chairman of Yangon City Development Committee
Mayor Brig-Gen Aung Thein Lin met Ambassador of Singapore Mr T
Jasudasen at the former’s office this afternoon. Also present were
Secretary of YCDC Col Myint Aung, Joint Secretary U Aung Soe,
Member Col Tin Soe, heads of departments and officials.

HIV/AIDS Educative Billboard erected in
Hlinethaya Township
YANGON, 18 Jan—A ceremony to put up on HIV/AIDS Educative
Billboard and Poster sponsored by the Hlinethaya Township
Anti-Narcotics Association was held in front of the Padethabin
City on Yangon-Pathein Road in the township this morning.
It was attended by Chairman of Myanmar Anti-Narcotics Association
(Central) U San Thein and CEC members, the Chairman of Hlinethaya
Township Peace and Development Council and members, the Chairman
of the Township Anti-Narcotics Association and executives, the
Secretary of the Township Union Solidarity and Development
Association, the President of the Township Maternal and Child
Welfare Association and officials and others totalling over 500.
At the auspicious time, officials concerned formally opened the
billboard.

International trade course opened
YANGON, 18 Jan — The international trade course No 4 conducted by
the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and
Industry was opened at the UMFCCI training centre on Bo Sun Pat
Street here this morning.
Adviser U Khin Maung Yee delivered a speech and Education Work
Committee Chairman U Sein Win Hlaing explained facts about the
course. A total of 60 trainees are attending the 10-day course.
