Meeting of Directors-General of Agricultural
Statistics
and Information in ASEAN+3 Countries and
the Third Focal Point Meeting of AFSIS Project continue
YANGON, 25 Jan—The Meeting of Directors-General of Agricultural
Statistics and Information in ASEAN+3 Countries and the Third
Focal Point Meeting of AFSIS Project continued for the second day
at Kandawgyi Palace this morning.
At the meeting, representatives from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia,
the Philippines and Singapore presented statistics and data
utilization for agriculture policies and representatives from the
People’s Republic of China, Japan and Republic of Korea presented
matters related to technological development and its application
to agricultural statistics and information.
In the afternoon, those present dealt with the expected output and
contribution of the AFSIS project during the period of 2005-2007
and adoption of summary report.
The Third Focal Point Meeting of AFSIS Project will continue
tomorrow.

Delegates to JCC Bangkok call on Chairman of
GMS-BF
YANGON, 25 Jan — A two-member delegation led by General Secretary
of Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Bangkok Mr Keisuke Matsumoto
together with Managing Director of JETRO in Yangon Mr Tomohiro
ANDO and Director of JCCY Mr Hajime Tamanyu called on Chairman of
Greater Mekong Subregion Business Forum (GMS-BF) U Win Aung,
Vice-President of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of
Commerce and Industry U Aung Lwin and CEC members at the office of
the UMFCCI on 20 January morning.
At the call, they frankly discussed matters related to
arrangements for holding Investment Seminar for Myanmar to be held
in Bangkok about the first week of May 2005, for attending the
seminar and for submitting papers on economy and investment.

Enthusiasts throng Fourth MICT Week
YANGON, 25 Jan—The Fourth Myanmar Information and Technology Week
2005 continued for the fifth day at the Myanmar Information and
Technology Park (MICT) in Hline Township today.
It was packed with ICT science enthusiasts, businessmen, teachers
and students and the public.
On display at the exhibition are ICT products and computer related
equipment from 14 booths of the ministries concerned and 196
booths of local and foreign companies.
The booth of MMG Technologies offer services such as data, voice,
video communication, network security solution maintenance
support, multi-vendor support, regional support, systems
integration, structural cabling solutions and services and
wireless network solutions.
Computer accessories, UPS, printers, scanners, Intel CPU and Intel
motherboard of DCD (Direct Channel Distribution) Co were
displayed.
Moreover, Parami Group Co Ltd, ZEST Co Ltd, Aisa Tech Co Ltd and
Forever Group also displayed their functions and items.
The exhibition will be kept open until 27 from 10 am to 5 pm.
