Myanmar delegation back from India

YANGON, 20 March — The Myanmar delegation led by Minister for Finance and Revenue Maj-Gen Hla Tun arrived back by air this morning after attending the meeting on information and communication of public relations departments and the finance sector held in New Delhi, India, from 16 to 18 March.

The delegation was welcomed back at Yangon International Airport by Minister for Cooperatives Col Zaw Min, Deputy Minister for Finance and Revenue Col Hla Thein Swe, heads of department under the ministry and officials concerned.

The meeting, organized by the World Bank, was held at Darbar Hall of Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi, India. Present on the occasion were finance ministers from 66 WB member countries, governors of central banks, invited guests and officials of NGOs. The Myanmar delegation comprised Governor of Central Bank of Myanmar U Kyaw Kyaw Maung, Managing Director of Myanma Posts and Telecommunications U Maung Maung Tin and Staff Officer of the Ministry of F&R U Min Han Soe.
