Prime Minister receives visiting Philippine Minister and party

YANGON, 5 May —Prime Minister Lt-Gen Soe Win received Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of the Philippines Mr Michael T Defensor and party at Zeyathiri Beikman on Konmyinttha at 8 am today. Also present on the occasion were Minister for Mines Brig-Gen Ohn Myint, Minister for Forestry Brig-Gen Thein Aung, Deputy Ministers for Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Thu and U Maung Myint, Director-General at Government’s Office U Soe Tint, Director-General of the Protocol Department Thura U Aung Htet and Philippine Ambassador to Myanmar Mme Phoebe A Gomez.

Philippine delegation visits wood-based factory

YANGON, 5 May — The Philippine delegation led by Minister of Environment and Natural Resource of the Philippines Mr Michael T Defensor this morning visited wood-based product factory of Chin Su May Flower Co in Bago.

In the afternoon, they also visited the National Museum, Bogyoke Aung San Market and Gems Emporium in Yangon.
